We welcome new starters throughout the year. The class is one of mixed ages and abilities so there are blackbelts training alongside and assisting and supporting lower grades.
Basic kata training

Training on a hot summer's afternoon.
Young karateka concentrate on perfecting techniques, kata, padwork, learning to spar, improving fitness, grappling and letting off a little steam with plenty of Kiai (a karate yell).
Pyramid training with pads to increase stamina and focus. Pyramid training consists of shuttle runs combining an increasing number of padwork techniques between runs.





Children and adults are taught separately within the same venue. This is a popular way for families to have a chance enjoy a sporting activity together. For more details go to the Sunday Class page. This is the children's class
Following the Sunday Class from 11-12 noon students from Sessen Ryu and other associations can take part in a separate Okinawan Kobudo (weapons) class.
The classes at Eversley Centre are instructed by Sensei Albie O'Connor (01375) 640609, children are instructed by Sensei Jill O'Connor.
The first 2 lessons are always free!
The Eversley Centre main hall is also the location for our adult and junior gradings which take place in February, June and October.
Don't forget for anyone wanting a little extra warm-up, every Sunday we meet at Eversley Centre at 9.20am prompt for a light jog before training at 10.
